Looking for a fun summer ride? KOTA (Knights of the Air) creates high-performance, handcrafted longboards with a variety of unique designs and the option to create your own. (A coworker has one with a silhouette of her dog.) Founded by a Navy F-14 Top Gun pilot, KOTA boards reference aviation history via styles such as the Rickenbacker, Flying Tigers, and F-4U Corsair. Each of KOTA’s four deck shapes is named after a World War I airplane and gives a nod to the dawn of aviation.
Engineered with camber for carving performance like a downhill ski, these longboards provide an experience similar to powder skiing in the summertime or surfing on concrete waves. KOTA’s clear, gloss KOTAgrip finish is particulate free and very grippy, eliminating the need for traditional grip tape.
All KOTA longboards are made from durable American hard rock maple. Each veneer is individually inspected and only sourced from American FSC certified suppliers. And every KOTA longboard is one-of-a-kind because of the grain and pattern of the wood. Whether you’ve wanted to try the sport or are already an avid rider, you will love these longboards.
